3rd Corporate Carbon Footprint Calculation Training Completed

Organized in cooperation with TAU-SEM and Allianz Teknik, 'Application Based Corporate Carbon Footprint Calculation Training' was held on 26-27 December 2024.
The training, which also sets an indication for the Turkish-German University's efforts within the scope of 'Sustainability', was given at the Allianz Teknik Earthquake & Fire Test and Training Center located on TGU Campus. Prof. Dr. Aykut Kibritçioğlu from TGU Department of Economics, Environmental Engineer Nilay Çakır and Environmental and Civil Engineer Simge Var from Allianz Teknik presented e-certificates to the successful trainees. Two TGU Faculty of Science students also participated in the training within the framework of social responsibility.
The target audience of the training, which continues at regular intervals, includes process leaders in charge of greenhouse gas and carbon footprint calculations, environmental engineers, company representatives, academics, and undergraduate and graduate students. The training program includes clarification of basic topics and concepts such as greenhouse gases, ecological and carbon footprints, different greenhouse gas calculation methodologies and practical calculation of greenhouse gas amounts of facilities according to ISO 14064 standard.
