ENGLISH CONVERSATION CLUB - FACE TO FACE EDUCATION

The main purpose of the Face-to-Face English Speaking Club, which was established within the scope of TAU-SEM and will be led by the lecturers of the School of Foreign Languages, is to introduce the functional (discourse) features of English used in daily dialogues with rich examples, taking into account the current English level of the participants, and to enable them to use English effectively in accordance with the target context. 

The program is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to transform their knowledge of English into speaking practice. Through speaking practice, participants will reinforce their language skills and add new vocabulary to their vocabulary.

The program will be divided into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level classes and candidates are required to have at least A2 level English. The program will start as soon as the minimum number of participants reaches 8 (max. 15 people).

ENGLISH SPEAKING CLUB - COURSE PROGRAM

English Speaking Club classes will be held on Wednesdays between 18:30 and 20:00, two class hours per week. The training will last 8 weeks and cover 16 class hours.

TRAINING LOCATION

The training will be held at Hüseyin Avni Sözen Anatolian High School in Istanbul/Üsküdar and will be taught by TAU School of Foreign Languages instructors.

TRAINING FEE: 2.500 TL

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Payments will be deposited in the name of Turkish-German University Revolving Fund Management Directorate, Halkbank Beykoz Branch, with the IBAN number in the same mail when you receive the 'class is open' e-mail.

Please write your name, surname and 'English Speaking Course Fee' in the explanation section.

*If the fees deposited to the account will not be deposited by the trainee himself/herself, the identity (Name, Surname and TR Identity Number) and contact information of the person who deposited the course fee to the bank account should be included and the trainee's Name-Surname and 'English Speaking Course Fee' should be written in the Description section.

CONDITIONS FOR OPENING, CONDUCTING AND RECEIVING A CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION IN THE ENGLISH SPEAKING COURSE

Periodically, the quota status is determined by the English Coordinator's Office according to the intensity of applications.  

The responsibility for the program content belongs to the relevant faculty member.

In the event that the program is not opened due to not reaching the sufficient number of participants (8 participants) or if the program cannot be carried out due to legal or extraordinary reasons, the participants who have paid the fee will be refunded according to the decision of the relevant Board and/or Unit of TAU. No interest or similar delay compensation is paid in the refund of the participation fee.

In order to qualify for the Certificate of Attendance, it is compulsory to attend 70% of the courses.

No full or partial refund will be made to those who register and do not attend the courses. In cases where TAU-SEM decides to refund the fee, the relevant account will be refunded within 60 days. 

In other matters, the relevant regulations and decisions to be taken by TAU-SEM Board of Directors are valid.

Certain discounts are applied to TAU staff and their 1st degree relatives, TAU students, those attending with their spouse or siblings, and relatives of martyrs and veterans.

Those who register for the program are deemed to have accepted these conditions.
