German Conversation Club - Face-to-Face Training

GERMAN CONVERSATION CLUB - FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING

The main purpose of the Face-to-Face German Speaking Club, which was established within the scope of TAU-SEM and will be led by the lecturers of the School of Foreign Languages, is to provide a speaking-oriented training opportunity for those who have knowledge of German but do not have the opportunity to communicate in German. In the program, participants will reinforce their language skills through speaking practices and at the same time add new words to their vocabulary.

The program will be divided into Intermediate and Advanced classes and candidates are required to have at least B1 level German. If the minimum number of participants (8) is reached (max. 15 people), the training will start.

GERMAN CONVERSATION CLUB - COURSE PROGRAM

German Speaking Club classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays between 18:00 and 20:15, two days a week, for three hours each. The training will last 4 weeks and cover 24 class hours.

TRAINING PLACE

The training will be held at Hüseyin Avni Sözen Anatolian High School in Istanbul/Üsküdar and will be taught by TGU School of Foreign Languages instructors.

TRAINING FEE: 4,250 TL.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Payments will be deposited on behalf of the Turkish-German University Revolving Fund Management Directorate, Halkbank Beykoz Branch, with the IBAN number in the same mail when you receive the 'class is open' e-mail.

Please write your name, surname and 'German Speaking Course Fee' in the explanation section.

*If the fees deposited to the account will not be deposited by the trainee himself/herself, the identity (Name, Surname and TR ID No) and contact information of the person who deposited the course fee to the bank account should be included and the trainee's Name-Surname and 'German Speaking Course Fee' should be written in the Description section.

GERMAN SPEAKING COURSE OPENING, EXECUTION AND CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION

Periodically, the quota status is determined by the German Coordinatorship according to the intensity of the application.  

The responsibility for the program content belongs to the relevant faculty member.

In the event that the program is not opened due to insufficient number of participants (8 participants) or if the program cannot be carried out due to legal or extraordinary reasons, the participants who have paid the fee will be refunded according to the decision of the relevant Board and/or Unit of TGU. No interest or similar delay compensation is paid in the refund of the participation fee.

In order to qualify for the Certificate of Attendance, it is compulsory to attend 70% of the courses.

No full or partial refund will be made to those who register and do not attend the courses. In cases where TAU-SEM decides to refund the fee, the relevant account will be refunded within 60 days. 

In other matters, the relevant regulations and decisions to be taken by TAU-SEM Board of Directors are valid.

Certain discounts are applied to TGU staff and their 1st degree relatives, TGU students, those attending with their spouse or siblings, and relatives of martyrs and veterans.

Those who register for the program are deemed to have accepted these conditions.
