GERMAN YDS-YÖKDİL PREPARATION COURSE

PROMOTION

An Accelerated Academic German Preparation Course for YDS, E-YDS, YÖKDİL and other equivalent German Foreign Language Exams will be opened within the Continuing Education Center of our University in the Fall Semester of 2023 Academic Year, covering the months of September and October, for 6 weeks (105 lessons). If the number of participants reaches 10 people, the training will start online within the calendar specified below.
In our country, the conditions for opening YÖKDİL, YDS, E-YDS German Accelerated Preparation Courses are much more difficult and limited compared to English. Through this course, candidates who want to apply for academic staff postings in the field of German from different disciplines, as well as candidates who have graduated from foreign language departments such as German Language and Literature, German Teaching, Translation and Interpreting, and want to receive postgraduate education in their field or apply for academic staff postings in these fields are taken into consideration. Participants who complete the course are also given a certificate of participation.

CONTENTS

• High Level Grammar Explanation for B1/ B2 and C1/ C2 Advanced Levels
• Various exercises for gaining Academic Vocabulary, Vocabulary, Reading-Comprehension, Listening-Comprehension and Writing Skills required for academic exams like YÖKDİL, YDS, E-YDS and its equivalents DSH, TELC etc.
• Exam-Focused Grammar Study, Sample Question Solutions and Detailed Grammar and Subject Explanation through Questions,
• Processing of Grammar Rules and Patterns Specific to German Articles and Literature,
• Strengthening Reading and Comprehension Skills through Academic Texts Didacticized for the Exam,
• Current Intensive Sample Question Solutions for German Academic Exams,
• Grammar Explanation for the Field Language at German C1/C2 Level, Vocabulary and Phrases Knowledge Study, and Academic Reading Comprehension Studies for Exams,
• Article Readings from different disciplinary fields for the exam, Various Reading Comprehension Studies for these fields and Original Question Solutions on related subjects,
• General German Reading - Comprehension and Listening - Various Exercises and Question Solutions for Comprehension Skills,
• Solution of a current trial exam every day in the last 2 weeks in a classroom environment, content-based examination of problems, intensive grammar repetition and academic vocabulary work,
• Developing Basic Academic Patterns within the Scope of Writing Skills through in-class and post-class Activities such as Various Text Studies and Translation Workshop,
• Advanced Level (C1/C2 Level) intensive Grammar and Vocabulary Studies and Various Sample Question Solutions from International German Exams,
• Providing trainees with the high level Grammar and Vocabulary required for the Specialization Language (Fachsprache) through Appropriate Exercises and Texts, based on parallel text.

OPERATION OF THE COURSE

• The course is designed to be held in an online learning environment after working hours (18.30) on weekdays (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) for the first 3 weeks, starting from September 18th.

• Online Intensive YDS Course will cover a period of 6 weeks.

• The course will start on Monday, September 18, 2023, if a sufficient number of applications is reached.

• Within the planned content, classes will start at 18.30 and continue until 22.45.
 
• On the planned lesson days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), the daily lesson program will be 5 lessons.

• In the 4th week of the course, classes will be held 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) to gain intensive conditioning and practice in the field of problem solving and reading-comprehension.
• In the 5th week of the course, classes will be held 5 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) for intensive conditioning in the field of problem solving and reading-comprehension.

• Finally, the course will be completed with a trial solution for the sample YDS, E-YDS and YÖKDİL exams every weekday and on the last Saturday, followed by general revision and evaluation, due to intensive subject review sessions for intensive question solving and vocabulary studies in the last week.

*If the fees deposited to the account will not be deposited by the trainee himself, the identity (Name, Surname and TR Identity Number) and contact information of the person who deposits the course fee to the bank account must be included and in the Description section, the name and surname of the trainee must be written as 'German YDS/YÖKDİL Preparation Course Fee'. should be written.
