TAU-SEM Spring Term Participation Certificate Ceremony

TAU-SEM Participation Certificate Ceremony of General German Language Education was held on Wednesday, 7 June at TGU Campus.
The Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş, the Director of the School of Foreign Languages Prof. Dr. Leyla Coşan, the German language instructors of the Foreign Languages School, the K-TGU International Relations Coordinator Dr. Stefan Bildhauer, the students and their relatives attended the ceremony.
The Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş held the opening speech of the ceremony.
Prof. Dr. Uzuntaş started her speech by congratulating the students who were entitled to receive a certificate of participation and stated that the German and English language education programs within TAU-SEM are particularly encouraged because they overlap with the education concept of the Turkish-German University. Prof. Dr. Uzuntaş also stated that online courses offer education opportunities which independent of time and place, and such ceremonies that bring students and educators together are important in terms of meeting the need for socialization, which is also an important dimension of education.
TAU-SEM Director Prof. Dr. Elif Nuroğlu gave general information about the courses within the Center in her speech. Connecting the rapid increase in the number of students to the quality of the education provided, Prof. Dr. Nuroğlu emphasized that, in addition to the German Language courses, the German YDS/YÖKDİL Preparatory Courses are also important education programs of the Center.
Underlining that within the framework of public and private sector collaborations, internal or external, paid or free trainings and seminars are given by TAU-SEM. Prof. Dr. Nuroğlu also explained that within the scope of University/Industry cooperation, special programs are offered for the needs of firms. Thanks to the university's academic staff, trainings are offered to company employees in different fields.
In the last part of her speech, Prof. Dr. Nuroğlu stated that she is proud of the fact that TAU-SEM contributes positively to both personal development and professional life of the course attendees and stated that it is a source of pride to witness the course participants being able to express themselves in German shortly after they start their education.
After the speeches, the students were invited to the stage to take their participation certificates. The ceremony, in which the professors presented the certificates to the students, ended after the souvenir photo shoot.
