General English Language Course-Intermediate and Upper Intermediate Level

ONLINE GENERAL ENGLISH COURSE PROGRAMME-INTERMEDIATE-UPPER INTERMEDIATE LEVEL (B1, B2)
 
Pre-registrations will be accepted for the Turkish-German University SFL instructors' online General English Language Courses at TAU-SEM for the JULY-2023 academic year. In case of reaching the quorum of trainees (minimum 15 people), an INTERMEDIATE-UPPER INTERMEDIATE LEVEL (B1, B2) English course will be opened. 

PROGRAMME

The trainings are structured as 6-week programmes for each level. In the period of JULY-2023, only INTERMEDIATE - ABOVE INTERMEDIATE LEVEL (B1, B2) students will be accepted.

GENERAL ENGLISH COURSE PROGRAMME

In 2023 English courses, weekday classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 18:00 and 21:30, and weekend classes will be held on Saturdays and Sundays between 09:30-13:00. 

The registration and course start dates of the online General English Language Course, which will start in the period of JULY-2023, are as follows.

*You can pre-register online from the link below from the beginning of the registration period. If the quotas are filled, the pre-registration form will be closed to access before the specified date. 

The placement test will be held online on the date and time announced in the table and will be held in open camera.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Payments will be deposited on behalf of the Turkish-German University Revolving Fund Management Directorate, Halkbank Beykoz Branch, with the IBAN number in the same mail when you receive the 'class has been opened' e-mail.

Please write your name, surname and 'General English Course Fee' in the explanation section.

*If the fees deposited to the account will not be deposited by the trainee himself/herself, the identity (Name, Surname and TR ID No) and contact information of the person who deposited the course fee to the bank account should be included and the trainee's Name-Surname and 'General English Course Fee' should be written in the Description section.

CONDITIONS FOR OPENING, CONDUCTING AND CERTIFICATING ENGLISH COURSES

Periodically, the quota status is determined by the English Coordinator's Office according to the intensity of applications.  

The responsibility for the content of the programme belongs to the relevant faculty member.

In the event that the programme is not opened due to insufficient number of participants (15 participants) or if the programme cannot be carried out due to legal or extraordinary reasons, the participants who have paid the fee will be refunded according to the decision of the relevant Board and/or Unit of TAU. No interest or similar delay compensation is paid in the refund of the participation fee.

In order to qualify for the Certificate of Attendance, it is compulsory to attend 70% of the courses.

No full or partial refund will be made to those who register and do not attend the courses. In cases where TAU-SEM decides to refund the fee, the relevant account will be refunded within 60 days. 

In other matters, the relevant regulations and decisions to be taken by TAU-SEM Board of Directors are valid.

TAU staff and their 1st degree relatives, TAU students, those attending with their spouse or siblings, relatives of martyrs and veterans are offered discounts at certain rates.

Those who register for the programme are deemed to have accepted these conditions.
